New forms of urban and architectural design: trends and changes in design thinking

Abstract

Article is a reflection on the current trends in urban and architectural design, and how they are affecting the way to implant in the territory, not only of architecture but also of different disciplines that support the creation of the Habitat and the city. Thus, described two main positions that help to understand the actuality of spatial design thinking: the bioclimatic, as technological support for the development of an urban or architectural product, and the same bioclimatic understood in the moments prior to the technical, executory and real development of the same products. In the technological part of systemic support, progress has been significant and even disproportionate, to the extent that the technology more advanced is more energy will need to be useful and effective; in that sense it goes against the initial thought bio-climatic or sustainability mentioned in the treaties that have been proposed around the world since 1992, about energy saving and non-renewable natural resources. With this postulate, the generation of design thoughts, prior, apt, environmentally friendly and that they appreciate the elements of the context, making it relevant to this type of reflections. Here is where indigenous thought of implantation, construction and spatial organization in the territory will guide in the paradigm shift, as the ancestral position is humble and respectful with the natural habitat, first is the nature and the community above spatial, urban or architectural product.
