Analysis of innovative processes of the canton san pedro de huaca; carchi province (ecuador)

Abstract

Innovation is the means by which an opportunity is found, this process has resulted in generating added value, reduce costs or offer a new product or service. In this sense, the objective of the research that is based on the article, consisted in analyzing the factors that determine the application of innovation processes in micro-enterprises in the Canton San Pedro de Huaca of the Carchi province (Ecuador). The methodology used was a quantitative approach, applied focus group, which was obtained through factorial analysis relevant search results. Managed field research was descriptive and documentary; the technique used was the survey and as an instrument the questionnaire. It was concluded that there are three components that determine the lack of implementation of innovation in micro-entrepreneurs: excessive business risks associated with innovation activities, lack of sufficient financial funds to undertake innovation plans, lack of organizations and infrastructure in support of innovation activities, which does not allows to improve the production and marketing processes.
